CHRISTMAS FLOWER DONATIONS

As in the past, our church will be magnificently decorated for Christmas. Contributions can be made in thanksgiving for anyone or anything or in memory of a loved one in your life. Please fill out the form in the church pews, mail it to the church office or drop it in the offering plate with your check with “Flower Fund” in the memo field, or donate here.  All donations received by December 19 will be acknowledged in our special Christmas bulletin. Any donations received after December 19 will be acknowledged in the new year.

NATIVITY SET DISPLAY

During Advent we will have a display of various nativity sets in Ascension Chapel. If you have a small set that is either handmade, an unusual medium, or from a different part of the world, and would be willing to lend it to us please leave it at the church office in a box/container clearly labeled with your name and contact info and where the set originated. You can also provide a clear photo if your set is a family heirloom and better kept at home. Any questions?  Please email Karen James at [email protected].

ADVENT PRAYER TREE

During the Season of Advent, we invite you to take a prayer card, write (anonymously if you wish)your deepest concerns, and hang the card on the tree in the entrance. Feel free to draw or decorate with the stickers provided. In writing and hanging your prayer, you will be handing it to God. All the prayers will be collected and placed on the altar at our Christmas Eve services

ADVENT BIBLE STUDY BEGINS DECEMBER 3

If you haven’t been able to see the series or even if you have, this is your chance to watch it, react and respond to it in community with fellow parishioners whom you will get to know better and grow closer to. And don’t we all need community right now?!  We will watch each episode and then discuss it each week, starting December 3 and going through December 17. I sincerely hope you can join us each Tuesday night at 6:30 until 8:00 in the Sanctuary/chapel for this lively and touching, Christ-centered event.  We will then take a break and start back up on January 7 and each Tuesday night afterwards until we have finished the series. Questions: [email protected]

Please join us for this special service which helps us to look forward to Christmas with expectation and hope.

CHRISTMAS COOKIE EXCHANGE

This year’s Cookie Exchange will be on December 15 after church. Please sign up to bake a batch of your favorite Christmas Cookies. Look for our young adults with the signup sheets!
