Advent Book Study

Our regular book study group will be taking a pause until January. Instead, we will be reading and studying Advent in Narnia - Reflections for the Season by Heidi Haverkamp. Advent in Narnia is a delightful and meaningful journey into the season while we await the birth of Jesus. “With its enchanting themes of light and darkness, temptation and sin, forgiveness and hope…it naturally enhances the Advent season of reflection. As the reader anticipates the glorious coming of Christmas, Advent in Narnia inspires us to consider the holiday season from a new perspective.” Available at Amazon.com. Join us on Tuesdays throughout Advent at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel.
Anyone who hasn’t read the novel, The Lion, the
Witch, and the Wardrobe might like to have a “movie night” experience to
watch the 2005 movie The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the
Wardrobe before we begin our study. It is available on Disney+ for free or
on Prime Video for a rental fee of $3.99. It is a wonderful film that would be
enjoyable for the entire family!
