Animal Marketplace 2022
Celebrate the patron saint of animals, St Francis of Assisi, by donating to the annual Animal Marketplace on or before Sunday, October 2. The Outreach committee has set a goal of raising $600 which will allow the purchase of three goats, three cow shares, three pig shares and four flocks of chickens through the Episcopal Relief & Development’s Gifts for Life program. Why chickens, pigs, cows, and goats?
Chickens! Chickens help train families and community groups to raise poultry and sell surplus stock and eggs in the marketplace .
Pigs! Offer families financial security and access to food by training them to raise and sell pigs which produce quickly and are ready for market in just six months!
Cows! With a milk producing cow a family has a steady supply of nourishment and can sell surplus milk to better provide for themselves.
Goats! Give sustainability – goats are hardy, reproduce quickly and can be raised in many climates to produce staple items such as milk, cheese and manure for farming.
To donate, please drop a check in the pledge plate, mail to the church office (include Animal Marketplace in the memo line) or donate online HERE. Thank you for donating. If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Olson at 805-494-6461.
Donate to the Animal Marketplace by or on Sunday, October 2nd. Thanks!
