Ventura County Fair Results

Many of you inquired as to how our wines were received at the Ventura County Fair. RDV did very well!! Using the U.C. Davis 20 Point System, our wines received awards in the Amateur Red Blend category as follows:

1st Place and Judge's Choice with a score of 16: TRINITY 2016-17-18 Red Wine

2nd Place with a score of 15: 2016 Red Wine

3rd Place with a score of 14.5: 100% ESTATE 2017 Field Blend Red

4th Place with a score of 13.5: GRACE 2018-19-20 Red Blend

Honorable Mention with a score of 12: CHURCHWOOD 2019

Judge's Choice plaque and First, Second and Third Place ribbons will be on display in the wine room. We even won $18.00 in prize money (!) which will be donated back to the cause.

We also entered 3 of our wines in the 2022 WineMaker International Amateur Wine Competition, where a much larger offering of wines were sampled. Our Trinity was awarded a Silver medal in the Cabernet Sauvignon category, and our 100% Estate earned a Bronze in the Red Table Wine Blend category. Results are listed HERE under the name John Harbourne (RDV Board member), on pages 6 and 12.
