Thank You
The Epiphany Interfaith Ministry would like to thank everyone who participated in our recent WIN Project (Women's Interfaith Network) collecting items for the Welcome Basket for Refugees project to assist our local Conejo Valley Refugee Team.
Since forming in 2015, the Conejo Refugee Team represents volunteers from all over our area (Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Simi Valley, Oak Park and Thousand Oaks.) They work with LA based refugee agencies such as IRC (International Rescue Committee) and IRIS (Interfaith Refugee and Immigration Service), a ministry of the LA Episcopal Diocese to assist documented asylum seekers approved to legally immigrate to the United States. In 2023, they helped 50 families escaping violence from 10 countries including Afghanistan, Ukraine, Guatemala and Nicaragua and many others.
Along with WIN members of other local faith congregations, The Church of the Epiphany collected enough donated items to complete and deliver 15 Kitchen Baskets, 15 Bathroom Baskets, and 15 Cleaning Baskets. The Conejo Interfaith Refugee Team appreciated this wonderful, loving response and wanted to express their sincere thanks to everyone for their generosity.
If you are spring cleaning and have items including dining room tables and chairs, couches/loveseats, chairs, tables, dressers, lamps, TVs, Chromebooks, grocery gift cards, toys, bicycles, please reach out to: [email protected]
