EPIPHANY FLOWER GUILD | The Church of the Epiphany

Each week, the talented and creative guild members are responsible for purchasing and arranging altar flowers for Sunday Services, including Palm Sunday, Easter, Christmas, and Pentecost. Members are divided into teams which serve on a weekly rotation throughout the year. No experience necessary. On the job training provided! Flowers and plants from the arrangements are distributed to shut-ins and hospital patients by our clergy and lay ministers.

Sustainability efforts include sourcing floral materials locally, utilizing green plants to further reduce waste and costs, and limiting the use of environmentally toxic floral foam in the arrangements.

Giving altar flowers on Sunday is a wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion, honor our loved ones, or give thanks. If you would like to sponsor flowers, please fill out the form below or the card found in the church pews and indicate your dedication, thanksgiving, or memorial. The date must be reserved at least 7 days prior. We do not use flowers on the altar during the seasons of Lent or Advent. You may still make a donation and dedication for these Sundays, but we will not have flower arrangements. For more information contact Carrie Wilcox at (703) 508-2628.
